Our request to increase the O/S capacity next season to 60,000 has been accepted
According to Claret & Hugh - http://www.claretandhugh.info/os-60000-capacity-approved/?

This means we will have the 3rd biggest club stadium in the country!

Please tell me I'm not about to wake up!!

"The interesting point here is gate receipts are of ever decreasing importance in terms of overall club revenue"

Then....

"Gate receipts remain a hugely important part of a club's income, however bums on seats have become an even more important factor"

Make your fucking mind up!
You don't half read some bollox on here.

The interesting point here is gate receipts are of ever decreasing importance in terms of overall club revenue with advent of every increasing TV money

In the case of West Ham United next season, should we fill the ground to 60K every week we should achieve match day rev of circa £35M x 3 seasons to 2019 = £105

Compare that to 3 seasons of TV revenue if we finished mid table every season of £275M

If we achieve top 6 places it will be well north of that figure and God only knows if we made it CL football

Gate receipts remain a hugely important part of a club's income, however bums on seats have become an even more important factor, Manchester United are the perfect model as evidence of that fact

Expect to see, many more cheap seats to fill the stadium from next season

Exactly, fucking lazy. 'Big Sam guarantees you PL football' this is about to be tested to the very limit.

'What is the West Ham way' the all fucking laughed and crowed. We should be applauded for our moaning about not putting up with shit and knowing what we wanted. Lazy punditry

Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, said: “The Stadium is an iconic venue and it is fantastic that even more people will be able see football in such a high quality setting.

Looks like they missed a trick there Dicksie3...it should say ICONIC

I wonder how many of these tickets are the 100 quid kids tickets, that people have bought for once in a while when their mates might wanna come along to a big match?

Our progress over the last few seasons has been meteoric, both on & off the field

More importantly, it's sustainable

OK we haven't won anything yet, but we will!

Ag ag......not moaning but if pundits keep patronising us and repeating that we are some provincial club then it becomes ingrained in everyones mind that we are inc the rest of the planet football or non football.. Makes it harder to attract and keep players and new fans and to argue with tossers of other clubs and I believe we deserve more respect.
Very quick to slag us off loudly and when proved wrong total silence. Just want to see some humble pie eaten.

......and we see clubs like them come and go every season, not so long ago it was Hull, Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, Pompey, Cardiff etc. etc.

Re: Our request to increase the O/S capacity next season to 60,000 has been accepted
Well yes, but that's the reason football pundits are shit and, for example, the cricket ones are excellent. They bother to know everything about every opponent.

All you have to do to be a football pundit is talk about 'experience' being essential, buying players, and being careful what you wish for. Not sure I've seen one of them come up with anything original. Most of them had us and Leicester to be in relegation bother this year. They had Watford down by Christmas and Bournemouth gone the second callum Wilson got injured.

Honestly don't know why anyone bothers paying the slightest bit of attention to anything they have to say.
